BS English


Introduction

BS English (Language and literature) is a four-year degree program that has been designed with a special focus on advancing academic and professional development of students who want to gain knowledge of Language and literature and apply it to practical problems related to language in use and language teaching.
BS English covers wide range of disciplines, It not only deals with Linguistics and Literature in detail but also touches secondary fields from other disciplines such as social sciences ,basic sciences and applied sciences, grooming the students not only in their relevant fields but also uncovering new strata’s of life to them, thus making them more confident and subtle in interlinking BS English with other disciplines and bringing innovation to their career.

Admission Eligibility Criteria

FA/F.Sc 0r equivalent with minimum 45% marks

Duration

It is a four-year study program spread over eight semesters. Each semester has at least 18 weeks duration for teaching and examinations etc.

Project

Students are required to complete a project of 6 credit hours in the final year of their BS degree program. The choice of the final project is at the student’s discretion. However, consultation with the student advisor is compulsory. Students have to submit a detailed write-up of the project.

Award of Degree

To be eligible for the award BS English degree, the students are required to complete prescribed course work of minimum 132 credit hours with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 out of 4.
