The Master of Science degree in Botany is designed to provide a thorough foundation in plant sciences. The student learning goals and objectives of the Botany degree adheres closely to those recommended in Vision and Change. Courses within the Botany curriculum will address goals and objectives at the appropriate level through measureable student learning outcomes developed by course instructors.

B.Sc with Botany with minimum 45% marks.
It is a 2-year study program spread over four semesters. Each semester has at least 18 weeks duration for teaching and examinations etc.

Students are required to complete a project of 3 credit hours in the final year of their MSc degree program. The choice of the final project is at the student’s discretion. However, consultation with the student advisor is compulsory. Students have to submit a detailed write-up of the project.
To be eligible for the award MSc Botany degree, the students are required to complete prescribed course work of minimum 132 credit hours with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 out of 4.
